Readiness assessment – Weekly practical assignments (10%)
Students will receive an assigned practical assignment one week prior to submission. Students will use this as an opportunity to enhance their understanding of module concepts in relation to different visualizations covered in preceding lectures. Students will be submitting answers to the assignments on the due date. The best 10/11 marks will be used to determine the final grade.
Team-based Assignments - (40%)
Students will work collaboratively with their team members to submit a consensus group response to questions about course concepts for each of four (4) TBL Assignments.
Peer evaluation/participation - (5%)
Peer evaluations (3%) will be based on feedback obtained after each TBL Assignment. Participation (2%) will be received for submitting completed peer evaluation forms for each team member, after each TBL assignment.
Midterm – (15%)
Working individually, students will complete an online proctored midterm exam to assess their ability to apply knowledge and demonstrate an understanding of course material. This evaluation will include case-based multiple choice and short answer questions that will test students’ overall understanding and application of course.
Final Exam - (30%)
Working individually, students will complete an online proctored final exam to assess their ability to apply knowledge and demonstrate an understanding of the course material.
