Dr. Carver is a multidisciplinary health researcher with a PhD (Sociology) and MA (Psychology). Using an intersectional lens and situated within One Health perspective, Dr. Carver's research and writing considers issues surrounding technology, privacy and surveillance, health/well-being as well as the human-animal bond as these intersect with gender, age and social determinants of health. Dr. Carver is also interested in applying the One Health model to practical concerns around disease transmission and treatment/prevention, well-being and the reciprocal interactions between humans and farmed, wild, abandoned and/or feral non-human animal populations.
