Teaching Experience
Dr. Philbrook has been an adjunct professor with DBMS since 2015, having taught in the Life Sciences, Health Sciences, Nursing, and Medical programs here at Queen’s. For the 2018/2019 school year, she is coordinating PHAR 499 Research Methods in Pharmacology and Toxicology and PHAR 450 Principles of General Pharmacology II. She has also developed and is offering PHAR 380 Drug and Environmental Toxicology online. Most recently, she developed and is now offering REPD 473 Developmental Origins of Health and Disease online.
Dr. Philbrook conducts research with Dr. Louise Winn investigating the mechanisms of developmental toxicity of various chemicals, including the environmental pollutants benzene and triphenyl phosphate, and the anti-epileptic drug valproic acid.
