Admission requirements for individual courses

Current/Former Queen’s students:

  • Undergraduate students
    • All current on-campus Queen’s University students may enroll in BHSc courses without application to the program
    • Please consult with your present program to ensure which courses will count as options or electives towards your present degree program
  • Graduate and Professional students
    • Students registered in the School of Graduate Studies or Professional schools at Queen’s University may complete BHSc courses for upgrading or general interest
    • Contact the Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) program office to register for courses. Note: written permission from your supervisor and course instructor is required to enroll
  • Queen’s graduates
    • Students who have completed an undergraduate degree from any Faculty or School at Queen’s University may complete BHSc courses for upgrading or general interest
    • Contact the Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) program office to register for courses

Students studying at other institutions:

  • Visiting students from other post-secondary institutions may take courses offered by the BHSc program on a Letter of Permission issued by their home institution
  • Visiting students are restricted to online courses offered by the BHSc program
  • Applications via this stream may be submitted by clicking the APPLY button on this website and selecting the “Letter of Permission/Non-Degree”

Students not registered at a post-secondary institution

  • Non-degree continuing:
    • For individuals with previous post-secondary studies and interested in taking courses for general interest or upgrading (i.e. not interested in obtaining a BHSc degree)
    • Documentation is required. Previous academic studies must meet the minimum admission standards as detailed on the website for the appropriate category the applicant fits in (including second degree, transfer, or high school standards)
    • No course load limitations
    • Applications via this stream may be submitted by clicking the APPLY button and selecting the “Non-Degree Continuing” category
  • Non-degree interest:
    • For individuals interested in taking courses for general interest or upgrading but do not meet minimum admission standards for the category they fit in
    • No documentation required
    • Restricted to taking a maximum of 6.0 units per term of online courses offered by the BHSc program
    • Applications via this stream may be submitted by clicking the APPLY button and selecting the “Non-Degree Interest” category
